Friends of Take Care Nursery School
Supporting the Take Care Nursery School in Farato-Sotokoi-Daru in West Gambia
Our aims and objectives are to raise funds for:
• The day to day running of the school including teachers salaries
• Capital projects, for example, the building of a new classroom block and kitchen, the well to be re–dug and a perimeter wall to be built around the school compound
• Provision of tables and chairs for all classrooms
• Establish a feeding programme for the pupils of the school
• To obtain donations of books, writing equipment, teaching aids, toys and childrens clothes
• To establish links with nurseries, schools and other educational establishments
Shipping a container of goods over to the nursery school Longer term aims include:
providing a stand-alone solar powered pump for the well at the nursery
providing solar power for the nursery school
assisting with setting up the Health Centre in the village of Farato
